Now Open: The Gino Nicolai Hydronic Radiant Simulator Training Center
[The Only Radiant Simulator On The East Coast]
The only radiant simulator of its kind on the entire East Coast will provide classroom and hands-on training in hydronic radiant heating applications. The new facility includes nearly 3,000 square feet of classroom and hands-on training space.
This highly specialized training center, dedicated to the memory of one of the IQA founding members Gino Nicolai, will feature training in radiant heating systems, controls, piping, layout and design. The new training center showcases efficient, state-of-the-art technologies. Visitors will witness a working closed-loop radiant floor system, as well as different types of HVAC applications and products.
We have made a significant step in providing specialized training for plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning contractors and their technicians. The radiant heating system, which provides quiet, comfortable, and cost-efficient temperature control of the building should be extremely encouraging to those who have the opportunity to attend an upcoming training seminar.
About The Simulator: The Radiant Training Simulator provides the latest in radiant heat control and installation options. Our facility will help all interested companies and individuals involved with HVAC/Plumbing compete in this new and upcoming market by helping them understand proper installation methods, operation, and service of radiant heating systems.
Simulator Features:
- The radiant system will be heated by one of any of the boilers in the current IQA Training Center in order to show the benefits of heating with one boiler over another.
- Sensors for boiler run time, outdoor temperature and oil and electricity consumption may be added to the system.
- Three separate methods of water temperature mixing (tempering valve, modulating mixing valve, and injection mixing) can be chosen for the radiant system.
- Several temperature sensors placed throughout the building will supply readings for system evaluations.
- A hinged ¾” plywood sub-floor will allow for different insulation types, tubing installations, and access for training purposes.
